I’m a software developer. Since 2013 I’ve work in bioinformatics, providing tools to rapidly interpret genetic variation in patients.

Before that I spent six years working in education technology creating tools that performed semantic analysis on students’ writing and provided feedback.

The through line, for me, is web applications with complex data analysis pipelines that contribute to some kind of greater good.

In my spare time I write more code, but much less useful code. I love working on toy projects with very little practical purpose.
